President's Greeting
Dear Friends!

It is my great pleasure to announce all of you that the 9th Annual Congress of the Asia Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE) is being prepared and programmed by Professor Joo-Hyun Nam. It will be held in Daegu, Korea from October 9 to 11, 2008.

I believe that the need for endoscopic surgery and minimally invasive therapy in Asia Pacific region are increased year by year and APAGE plays important roles to answer these requirements. The Congress President, Professor Nam, has a clear aims for the meeting to level up the academic standard of the gynecologic endoscopy and minimally invasive therapy.

We will have opportunity to exchange advanced knowledge and cutting-edge information and will be able to promote friendly relationship between us from many of the Asia Pacific countries.

The panned venue for the conference, Daegu, is located at the center of East Asia and famous as one of the most historical, cultural and technological city in Korea. Seasonally, the congress will be held in October which may be the most pleasant time of the year there. I have no doubts that you and your accompanying guests will fill your free time with wonderful moments to be treasured always.

I would like to take this opportunity to express sincere appreciation to Professor Nam and his colleagues for their effort to make the congress successful. On behalf of myself and all the participants, I would also thank them for their kind hospitality during congress in advance.

I am sure that the congress would be a milestone of widespread expansion of endoscopic surgery in the Asia Pacific regions and be memorable for all participants.
I hope to see you in Daegu, Korea in October 2008.
